Hi Raf,

I had something like this happen to me years ago, I just pushed down all the
ICs on the board and it worked fine for a few months, I eventually found it
was a combination of a dry solder joint and a broken track. Make sure you
reseat the keyboard connectors too.

Dave ;)

Subject: [BBC-Micro] [BBC Micro] re. monotone Master

Hi friends

Last night I fired up a Master that I use fairly regularly.
Shortly after, it began to be non-responsive to key
strokes. I turned it off, disconnected a cheese wedge
co-pro, fired up again. It behaved for a few seconds
and then it just began making a monotone noise from
the speaker and that is all it will do since. The monitor
screen is blank. And it just keeps making this
monotone noise all the time.

I changed the batteries with fresh ones to no avail.
It does not respond to a CMOS reset.

 Can you assist me please?

 Best wishes, Raf.
