Subject: BBC Stuff (Royal Russell)
Peeps.
Have picked up some of the stuff that Cameron of the Royal Russell School
Croydon so kindly offered.
So far tested OK:
Master Computer
MOS 3.2, Terminal, Viewsheet, View, DFS 2.24, SRAM 1.04, LOGO
Master Computer
MOS 3.2, Terminal, Viewsheet 2, View, Basic 4, Edit 1, DFS 79, LOGO, COMAL
10, COMAL 10
I don't know why *ROMS reports 2 Comals. I think a new battery pack is also
needed.
Acorn B+ 128
Guess who wants this? ;)
I would appreciate anyone that can burn the latest Acorn ADFS for a
consideration getting in touch please. Also a version of Elite that would
work on a plus would be nice.
I am testing the disk drives with mixed results. I haven't found one I am
100% sure of yet
so there seems little point in offering them around. (Four still need
testing) Most of my old (never used) disks seem to format ok then finish
with a sector missing error. Seems likely to be drive related any
suggestions?
One of the twin drives is in a bridge and the LEDs come on, but the drives
do not spin with the doors closed.
Is there anyone near-ish Purley CR8 that fancies coming around one evening
with a 'good' drive and some good disks? Might it be a case of cleaning the
drives - they sat under a desk for some years.
I couldn't get the cub monitor to work - power but no display. Cameron has 5
others with leads as well as some printers and control boxes if anyone is
interested. Cameron Holmes can be reached at
cholmes@... . Thanks for everything you supplied
today Cameron.
I am going to China Sunday until the 2nd October, so a meet/collection can
be scheduled after then.
