Another option is a little-known service offered by the Staples office 
supplies people - take any parcel into any store and they'll ship it for 
you.  Also £8, and also uses DHL I think.  They told me they'd take up to
 
30Kg.  No collection service, but if you have a store near you they are a 
handy alternative.  I've used it several times and never had a 
problem.  Ask for the tracking number when they do the paperwork, and you 
can use the DHL website to track it.
