Line 30 should read
30 A%=&12345678
I guess the 'R' comes from some OCRing errors creeping in.
Happy typing
Dave ;)

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Any BBC Basic Experts Here?
Hello Group,
While I'm waiting for my physical machine I'm playing with Beebem.
I am trying to get one of the sample apps to run, it's the '
Demonstration of CALL with a parameter' in the BBC Microcomputer
User Guide.
Line 30 is:
30 A%=R12345678
But this gives a 'no such variable at line 30' error, anybody tell me
what the R before the number means? I've looked at a couple of
versions of the BBC Microcomputer User Guide and they're both the
same.
The other error is in a line:
STA(ZP),V
This gives an error 'index at line 265', again it's a 'V' in both
copies of the Guide, replacing the 'V' with a 'Y' works but the output
is now what the Guide says it should be :-(
Anybody remember enough of this to help jog my memory?
