I just opened my trusty, dusty Beeb Guide on page 446 and typed out what I
saw! This is definitely an OCR issue, the transposition of a & to an R and a
Y to a V and the total loss of the ~ on line 50.

It would be useful to report these errors to the source of the document so
they can be fixed.

OK, it runs but it doesn't give the expected result but that's part of
the fun :-)

I wouldn't blame the 'mistakes' on the OCR operation, from memory the
original manuals had their fair share of problems!

I must say I'm very grateful to the people who put the effort into the
OCR and transcription, it's great to have access to these documents
:-)
