Hold on... I have a DD 3.5" floppy drive on the Beeb.

Why...?

Because it pre-dates HD, is a "Y-E Data 1MB 3.5" drive", has no switch to
detect the HD hole, and reads/writes double-density [and single] only.

The PC also offers me a choice of 3.5" 1.44MB and 3.5" 720kB floppy drives
in the BIOS...
