I think if you untwist the cable it'll show up as disk 1 still. If you 
leave the twist in place and put the drive at the end of the cable, 
it'll show up as disk 2. You'll need to swap jumpers on the drive (or 
for one model I've seen a tiny microswitch to do this) to get it to 
behave as disk 0.
