Why should they ? It's trivial to setup your email prog to reply to the 
list, I use Thunderbird on the pc & Messenger on RiscOS and both are 
setup to reply to the list.

If it bothers you all that much why not setup your own list and we'll 
all move there instead, but I can't see what the problem is, considering 
that this is SUPPOSED to be for people interested in computers I'm 
amazed at the number who can't setup their software to cope with such a 
small idiosyncrasy.

Two things that really annoy me is people who top-post and html emails, 
both are considered BAD etiquette, there is nothing clearer than a reply 
to several questions with each answer added after the question it answers.

Anyone interested in netiqette ?

there a loads to choose from, try googling.
