Oh yes,
If using a 3.5" HD drive on a BBC micro, use Jonathans fix for DNFS
http://www.mdfs.net/System/Rom/Filing/CustDNFS.zip with the revised timings
for these discs. This makes all the difference to the read/write failures.
As long as the disk drive is physically working and physically set up
correctly, ie it is being accessed as drive 0 when you select drive 0, this
should solve most problems.
Oh, and read the DFS and Drive guide from the docs site. www.bbcdocs.com -
it has a lot of the subject covered there. The results of the 3.5"
experimentation can be added also.
