As you have a serial cable and a small volume of data to transfer I'd
recommend Xfer 5.1 (see above link).  It copies individual files or
whole discs although it can be slow.  Xfer should work on most recent
PCs but if it's unsuitable there are ASCII-based alternatives :-)
