If the ROM leg isn't completely snapped off you can solder a new one onto
the stub. I've done that in the past to a couple of Pagemaker ROMs that had
legs of jelly!

The other two "ROM" sockets you mention are for the speech upgrade,
inserting ROMs into these would most likely destroy them.
