I'm fairly certain the machine demo'd to the BBC was a wirewrapped
prototype. One of the BBC histories (can't recall which) stated that
the Acorn engineers only got the high-res screen modes working a few
hours before the machine was demo'd to the BBC, and that it required
extensive re-working of the video section of the wire-wrapped board.
