Yeah, I find exactly the same thing - plus as I've got a DVD player and 
a video recorder already hooked up to the two SCART sockets on my main 
TV I'd have to unplug *something* each time. Easier just to decouple the 
RF (even though my TV's like most and it's round the back)

Still beats me why if someone were to design an interface like SCART 
they'd use such an abortion of a socket design! I'm not sure what was 
wrong with say a 13W3 connector - at least the contacts are of better 
quality and it's possible to plug in 'blind'.
