No; RISC OS's Econet system doesn't implement the two OS RPCs used by
*REMOTE.  I don't remember if it provides any hook that you could use to
implement them in add-on software or not.

Alternatively, of course, you could write your own variant of *REMOTE
that used machine peek to identify the type of the target machine, and
then selected an appropriate technique for connecting to it.  That would
avoid the need to make any software changes on the target system.
