Hi Jonathan,
I use a Canon Powershot S50 mounted on a tripod. It has a special macro
setting which allows you to take detailed close-up pictures. Don't know
if your camera has a macro feature, but it certainly is helpfull. Also
make sure you have good lighting. Does your camera have auto- or manual
focus?
