Yes, a friend of my Father's bought a Beeb with a Z80 Second Processor I
think it was early 1985 and it came with this weird Kenda DMFS,
basically a
CP/M style file system for floppies, makes a double sided drive into a
single disc, allows fragmented files etc. I do recall he really liked it
initially boasting about the double density etc. later on he had some
biggish problems (perhaps compatibility problems with the Z80?), then
dumped
the Beeb on his son (I put an "old" 8271 in for £20 and he played
games) I
didn't want the "blob", it looked a bit of hack to me. The Father bought
an
IBM PC instead.
