As OSWord &7E just reads sector 00:1 (*) and returns the disk size
bytes I would expect it to work regardless of the disk format and
the stepping setting.
 
(*)It probably reads both 00:0 and 00:1 as a general catalogue
fetch, but it only looks at the disk size bytes at 00:1:06 and
00:1:07.
