Might I be permitted to add a couple of my own linguistic irritations?
(i) People who write "loose" when they mean "lose".
(ii) "Advanced Warning" instead of "Advance Warning".
I had a third one in my brain before I started typing this, but I've now
forgotten it. Need some sleep.
