Subject: Re: PC Ecolink board on eBay.

Ouch ! £240 for an ISA card.
Who would pay such an outrageous amount ?

Possibly sadly for the seller and the last real bidder, someone just
registered with 0 feedback.....

Unless somenoe on here is trying to hide their embarassment at paying so
much for a card.

If someone does have the diagrams, I reckon most of the 'glue' logic could
go into a couple of array logic chips, so a 'new' version' could be a lot
easier to make.

For a one off I'd wire wrap onto an ISA proto card, (which is going to be
expensive though not £240), but a small run might be worth doing. Have we
got any PCI experts on here?

On a similar thought. given my failed attempts at finding an econet
filestore, a nice project might be a conmbined filestore/bridge, on a linux
core, (there was some econet/linux work done), which would give a proper
system with decent backup available. That being said, if anyone has a blown
up SJ Research they want to part with, let me know, I'm fairly adept with a
soldering iron, and legend has it that when an SJ power supply let go, it
did so in a big way.
