Absolutely!
Who hijacked my posting? ;)
So to summarise:
If I were to take a Beeb 51/4" drive case, it's pretty easy to fit a
conventional 3.5" PC drive using a Maplins kit or similar. Sony's work well.
There is some issue with cable twist(?)
The drive automatically sets itself as disk 1, rather than disk 0, but that
can solved via jumper settings or the use of a soldering iron!
Anything else?

of Subject and venue)
Folks, if you're going to keep posting off-topic posts, at least change
the Subject field so that I don't spend time deciphering which of the
posts are actually relevant to it and not. You finished talking about
3.5" drives I believe? I certainly am wanting to get a new one to be
backwards compatible with DD disks to transfer BBC stuff...
Alternatively use the 8BS message boards to really discuss off-topic
where it's accomodated. I've been accused of doing what you're doing
just for suggesting more dynamic support technologies like GoMMC and
complaining of a persons wasteful attitude against it's progress.
Thanking you for you co-operation in this respect. I would also like
to thank those of you who did stake an interest in dynamically
supporting GoMMC, I've not forgotten you, bear with me and will getting
back to you asap.
Fiaz.
