Hi,
This sounds like the affect you get with line 34 on the floppy conector.
The machines is expecting a Ready Signal but the drive is providing a Disk
Change.

What make and model numbers where your old drives? Can you see any jumpers
set on them?

Thanks
Chris

Subject: [BBC-Micro] FileStore Floppy Drives

Can anybody let me know of a suitable replacement 3.5" floppy drive for a
FileStore E01S? Both of the drives in mine are broken and I have tried two
different PC drives but, whilst they are recognised by the FileStore and it
attempts to access them, all that happens is that the drive head moves up
and down the disc surface endlessly, eventually resulting in a disc error.

Best wishes,

Ian
