Subject: Watford / Acorn DFS question
Hmm, how do I tell the difference between a Watford DFS disk of less than
256KB and an Acorn DFS one?
Watford's DFS of course allows larger files by utilising one of the high bits
in the filename area as part of the filename length - but I can't find any
spec anywhere that says it's guaranteed for Acorn DFS catalogues to have the
high bits in the filename cleared, so I don't know how I'm supposed to
distinguish between the two?
Or are longer file lengths only ever valid for Watford DFS disks that are >=
256KB per side? (Something which can be detected)
cheers
Jules
