It's a System One manual, not a "Series 1", dating from the late 1970's.
The machine comprised two small boards, one containing the CPU @ 1MHz and
interface logic (p/n 200,000), the other containing a keypad and 9 digit
display (p/n 200,001).
The ROM monitor was I think 256 bytes, as was the RAM as standard (my manual's
in the loft, although I can dig it out tomorrow if needs be)
It was the first machine Acorn made targeted at home users, although the CPU
board presumably existed beforehand in industrial applications.
There was no supplied case or power supply - for that you needed to buy a
System Two :)
I *think* (without checking) that Acorn's 6809 CPU board had a manual that
looked identical from outside, so there's a chance that this one *isn't*
actually for a System 1...
