I connect to Arcade with XTerm at 19,000 baud with a 14,400 baud
modem. Works perfectly.

XTerm implements standard ANSI cursor movement. Anything the host
system sends that isn't in
http://mdfs.net/Software/Comms/JGH/ANSICodes XTerm doesn't
understand. Tell me what your character sequences your host is
sending and I'll add them to XTerm.
