Probably still SLS then, although that might have just been at the point it 
morphed to Slackware.

All this reminds me of my NCR Tower UNIX box - I seem to remember that the 
hostname is compiled into the kernel on NCR's flavour of UNIX, so changing it 
is a complete pain in the butt and not as simple as just editing some /etc 
files...

(that machine is parked at Bletchley these days - I needed the room in the 
garage for my welder!)
