All this talk of Master 512s prompted me to dig out my spare one
which had been sandwiched between my dead MDFS and A3000 for
about two years!
I've connected up a hard disc with a 20MB partition and it is certainly
a great improvement on booting from floppy!
I'm having a problem with the date, though, as it likes to think that it's
2130, although the time is correct. If I set the date, it is OK but I seem
to have to do this every time I boot the machine. Does anybody else
have this problem and is there a cure?
Best wishes,
Ian

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Web site: Mainly Master 512
Just to let people know that I have thrown together a web site mainly on the
Master 512.
I know this isn't everyone's favourite machine, but I did quite a bit of
work on it at one stage, and amassed a fair quantity of information. It may
as well be made available to all.
I plan to add a bit more to this site over the next few weeks. In
particular, I have some more things to add to the "Software" page - a few
more items specifically for the Master 512, and some shareware that will run
on the machine. I might put a bit more on the "Bibliography" page too - I
may well scan and OCR the "512 Forum" articles from "Beebug".
Anyway the site is at: http://www.cowsarenotpurple.co.uk/bbccomputer
(Sorry about the name - it means something to me)
Have fun with this, or ignore it, as the mood takes you.
