My Spectrum used to get through a lot of keyboard membranes, but 
strangely the last one I put in lasted years and years and is still 
working today, and when I upgraded to a +2 I never needed a new 
membrane and that one is still going strong to this day as well. They 
must have changed the design or the materials or something.
