I know this isn't what you meant but Intel and ARM are not altogether
incompatible. Intel have manufactured StrongARM and XScale processors
for several years and both currently manufactured 'real' RISC OS
machines use Intel XScale processors.
IIRC even the original Acorn sold x86 machines pre-installed with Windows.
