Hi chaps --

Having some interesting issues with a 1770DFS here, and I need my 
memory refreshing please.

1770DFS doesn't "appear" when the 1770 FDC isn't detected, does it? I 
seem to remember it being like this, but I'm trying to narrow down 
the fault on this to the ROM, or the 1770 board itself (chief 
suspect). The bits and bobs (7438s, etc.) have been swapped with 
other machines and the 1770 daughterboard and ROMs are the only 
things I don't have spares for.

Any clues please, test points I can plonk my multimeter, etc.?
