Subject: Re: Electron with dodgy TV output
Years ago I had an electron that did this. In the end it turned out to be
the ULA (I think) overheating, almost impossible to get Elite loaded and fly
from Lave to the next planet without it getting really annoying!
My solution at the time was to run it with the lid off and various heavy
metal objects sat on the (I think socketed chip - you'll know which ones
getting hot by burning your fingers!)
In the end I stuck some tin foil onto the chip (using toothpaste) and held
it away from the main board with match boxes - that was my "teenager"
solution to the problem I'm sure others have better ideas though
