Hmmm. Obvious question #1 - what are the hardware requirements on the BBC side?
I got an error message saying "problems changing to DFS" trying just now - but
that's with a beeb that has Acorn 1770 DFS in it and a Watford WDC1772-based
FDC board in it.
BASIC prog seemed to transfer OK, so it looks like the comms/DFS Explorer side
is working OK and my problem's purely on the beeb side. No idea if it's
software or hardware, though.
Transfer status window (enabled after sending the BASIC prog) shows:
TX: 0000 : 2A *
TX: 0000 : 2A 44 49 53 43 0D *DISC.
... at which point I get the error message popping up. I've verified that the
beeb hardware all works and can read DFS disks from its drive, but of course
it's not necessarily the hardware setup that DFS Explorer expects :-)
I'm reluctant to start swapping ROMs and FDC chips about until I know what the
'right' setup is, but it's no problem doing so as required...
cheers!
