If free space information is required then it sounds like a need for
the *FREE command. I know this wasn't introduced until 1770 DFS
but I wonder if it's available in the Watford DFS?
As an alternative, might *-DISC-FREE on a Master work by invoking
Acorn 1770 DFS on the Watford-formatted disc?
Otherwise reading the free space is a fairly straightforward OSWORD
call which could be knocked together in a few lines of BASIC and then
saved for future reference.
Best wishes,
Ian

OK, I own up. It was me.

As I recall, I renamed the *INFO command in the 'Masterized' Watford DFS.
*HELP DFS might show the renamed command
After your message in March I found 2 ROM images I'd done to get the
Watford DFS working on the Master. I think the only difference was
that one had the renamed *INFO and the other didn't. If you're
unlucky, you'll have been sent the ROM image without the renamed
*INFO command....
