It's true, a lot of utility ROMs do use a prefix but I would never
have guessed at 0 (or was it O?) for Watford, usually they make
it easy by using the first letter of the manufacturer or ROM name,
ie. the Advanced Disc Toolkit uses "A" to force the Beeb to use
any of its commands which clash with other filing system commands.

I'd argue, although not very strongly, that it's easier for the
user if *HELP shows the names of the commands that the user can
type.
The 'magic prefix' character(s) are seldom documented in the *HELP,
and who can find all the manuals from 20-odd years ago ?
