Yes. Have a look for the WILLEM EPROM programmers on Ebay.  They're 
powered by the USB port of your PC (but you need a mains supply for 
non-CMOS EPROMS) and work very well, programming and verifying a 32k 
EPROM in about four seconds. I've got one for my Beeb EPROM programming 
and it's been absolutely fantastic.  When all the ROM images are easily 
available on the 'net it makes sense to burn them at the PC.
