I find it nice to hear what's out there though; I don't care who owns what 
providing they're going to look after it and not just throw it away when

Hmmm, I'd be interested to know that, too. My memory of the period was that 
hardly anyone could afford a BBC and maybe around 1 in 20 people who owned a 
home computer had one. Of course that doesn't help in saying what proportion 
went to schools...
