I found an interface component checklist somewhere on the net, so am
pretty sure that everything else is there (save a few capacitors where I
couldn't find the Cx placeholder on the main board!).
Have been offered a 68B54 by another kind list member so should be ok,
but thanks for the offer Ian.

p.s. How do I configure the shared area and logonable users with the L4
fileserver software ? No docs! :-(

Chris.

Are you sure it's only the 68B54 which is missing? It might be the
whole
Econet interface is missing. If there are a lot of "gaps" in the
motherboard
in the top left hand corner of the BBC then there is no Econet
interface.

This might help identify what is and what isn't Econet:

I've got some 68B54s if you haven't found one anywhere else, just
received
a new consignment (at long last!!) in fact but I don't usually sell them
separately
from the Econet upgrade kits. Sprow used to have some but if you're
stuck
I am sure I can sort you out with one.

Best wishes,

Ian

After an hour or so of head scratching last night trying to figure out
why my BBC B was stubbornly refusing to recognise the *NET part of my
DNFS ROM I have noticed that the 68B54 IC is missing from the econet
interface! Has anyone got a spare they could flog me ? Ian ?

Ta,

Chris.
