Subject: Re: Econet directory navigation

*DIR ^ should work to take you up a directory level, I'm pretty sure
that's available in NFS and ANFS. *BACK I think is an ADFS command
which takes you to where you were before you moved directory, I
don't think it is available on Econet.

*FLIP will switch between your current directory and the Library
directory for quick access to files in the library.

Different file servers have different uses for directory navigation
commands, for instance on the MDFS you can use & to refer to your
user directory and % for the Library which can be very handy as a
short-cut to files in these directories when you have navigated
a long way into the directory structure or onto a different disc.

Best wishes,

Ian

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Econet directory navigation

Hi chaps --

Daft question (I've probably just forgotten the syntax) but is there
a way to go to the parent directory please, or of referring to the
parent directory, in NFS or ANFS?

*BACK and *DIR ^ both don't seem to work, and I can't find a
reference to this method of navigation in the manuals.
