Subject: Re: How to *SPOOL result of *INFO?
I haven't tried it with a different physical drive, ie. drive 1, but I did try
with drive 2 at one point because when I tried *ACCESS *.* with full
file info (OPT1,3) I got an "Open" error because it was trying to
change the attributes of the open spool file. Putting it on drive 2
didn't help so I think it would be the same with drive 1.
It seems like DFS is unable to put output into an open file at the
same time as it's being asked to do some other disc-read operation. I
don't think there's any way around this bug, unless Acorn happened
to solve it in the DFS release for MOS 3.50.
Best wishes,
Ian

Is it any different if the *SPOOL target file isn't on the same
disk as you're *INFOing ?
E.g. if you're doing *INFO *.* on drive 0, is it any better if
you "*SPOOL :1.$.OUT"
