I see Sprow has sent you the service manual.  I'd encourage you to try
fixing them, providing you're careful about the EHT etc, because they're
easy to work on.  Take off the back cover, and remove the screws holding
the top section of the case (including two or three holding it to the
front bezel) and you'll find almost everything is easy to access.  I
used to run a Microvitec service centre and I still have the service
manuals -- both the original stapled book, and the later ring-bound
version.  There's a good fault-finding chart in there.
