Subject: Repton 2 - Completable or nay?

Hi,

Last night I spent the obligatory 4 hours or so attempting to complete
Repton 2 a la BeebEm (3 lives just isn't enough. Praise be to State Save)
as I have never actually done so..

And the final result on return to area a? 1 Diamond and 9999 earth
remaining. <expletive>

Some googling reveals Repton 2 does indeed contain a bug pertaining to
this, but I couldn't find out if there is a fixed version. Also I couldn't
find anything on the 9999 earh count, just the 1 erroneous diamond.

Has anyone ever come across a bugfixed version and knows where I might
obtain it? Did the Superior Collection version have the same bug?
