Thats bizarre! I have seen this stated before about DFS 0.90 and
was intrigued as I couldn't see how differences in the DFS could
affect this problem (except by way of retrying when error 10
occurs and I didn't suspect DFS 0.90 of such sophisticated
behaviour). I investigated some more (some time ago) because if
true, I thought this might lead to a better way of fixing the
problem in DFS 1.20.

I took a drive that gives error 10 problems with DFS 1.20 and
set it up on a model B and confirmed that the error occurred. I
then replaced the DFS 1.20 ROM with a DFS 0.90 ROM and tried
again. The error 10 problem still occurred. So I decided to
give up on this approach.

I do agree that DFS 0.90 is slow and buggy though.

Regards,
Peter.
