Subject: Grrr.....annoying master cmos ram

I wonder if you remembered to reset the CMOS RAM after
you changed the batteries by holding down the R key
whilst switching the Master on. This will clear the RAM
and set practically everything back to 0 and then you
can start *CONFIGUREing with a blank canvas.

Best wishes,

Ian

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Grrr.....annoying master cmos ram

I've recently replaced the batteries on my master's CMOS ram but it still
fails fairly regularly (quite often with "Bad Sum" messages on Break/CTRL
Break and lots of *TIME oddities)

Does the actual CMOS ram often fail? If so is it easy to replace. Would
anyone have the correct chips to hand?

Cheers

Doom
