Let me add to your list these (off the top of my head) so that if you're 
offered some you can try them:

(1) Dell Latitude C800 (and any CXXX laptop), with modular 3.5" floppy (year 
2000+)
(2) Dell Optiplex GXXX range (any - no fails yet - Windows NT4 era)
(3) HP Pavilion (post-2004) - as you know!
(4) P57SAX, P5ST-A, P571AA motherboards (Windows 95 era)

Other machines I have (Evesham, Time) I can't be specific enough to list 
without taking them apart, but in almost all cases the machines are as made 
by OEM (so no esoteric cards and definitely not SCSI).

OK... opinions - based on experience - don't cause me any problem provided 
they're not presented as a generalised proven fact (which requires 
evidence). And with that we're back to the "Where's the love?" thread of 
31st October...

I feel a hint of sarcasm. I was just after something a little more concrete 
than "Some people say so" - something I could investigate (my mind is open). 
Photos aren't necessary.

Any evidence (i.e. detail of hardware and software) from either 'side' out 
there? (Probably best to send them off-list if it's not publically useful).
