Subject: BBC to TV signal quality

Hello everyone,

I wonder if anybody else has noticed an issue with BBC model B's and the
quality of signal to portable TV's?

Unfortunately my monitor went the way of the dinosaurs when it completely
packed up recently, so I've spent the past few months connecting my BBC's up
to my portable TV. The television has automatic tuning so it's not totally
ideal when getting the best picture; however I've noticed that both BBC
Masters and B+ machines will tune in great, with no distortion or loss in
clarity. Standard BBC B's however give very poor signals - when I can tune
in the picture it's often slightly distorted. I normally use the UHF
connector (i.e. the socket that is far right at the back of the machine).

Has anybody noticed this before? Looks like I need to get a new
monitor......

Aaron
