It depends on how your sideways RAM works. Some (like the ATPL boards)
have additional circuitry so that a memory write is always forced to the
RAM bank regardless of the ROM slot currently selected, but some
doesn't. When you do a *LOAD from a filing system, the filing system
ROM is enabled during the load operation.

No, that smacks of a poor OSGBPB implementation. Or an extremely good
OSBGET :-)

That would seem to be the same slot duplicated. Presumably, only 2 bits
of the four possible are being decoded, which is exactly what I'd expect
if you haven't got a proper expansion board.
