I only looked at this link very briefly, but I found it on a recent
discussion on Usenet group comp.sys.sinclair about connecting a Spectrum
128 to a Philips CM8833-II:

It appears to contain a circuit to derive composite video from the
Spectrum's RGB port, which is also TTL. However the Speccy uses RGBI, a
bit like CGA, for 16 colours (supposed to be 15, but that's another story).

I'm not very good with electronics and stuff so I'll stop here and see
if anyone more knowledgeable can take a look ... :-)
