I remembered on the way home tonight that Watford did a 1770 disk
upgrade which wasn't compatible with the Acorn one (presumably
because it pre-dated Acorn's). I had one here ages ago, but never
used it.
Does your 1772 adaptor board have any markings on it ? I've come
across Acorn, Solidisk, and Watford 1770 disk upgrades - and there
may be more.
