Subject: Batteries in a Master
Talk about scary serendipity! I was just catching up with the list with a
view to posting about master batteries...
Mine has a 3-AA caddy which contained some very old coppertops, different
and highly attractive they were, in a perverse way. They're now history
however. I can't detect a diode in the circuit anywhere though - but I must
admit I've not looked _very_ closely. Should I expect to find one? If it
turns out there isn't one, should I add it? The caddy arrangement does have
a scary warning sticker - 'do not replace batteries - replace the entire
unit with a new one from acorn'. Is this just arse-covering or is there a
good reason for this?
Many thanks,
Charlie
p.s. please excuse the use of the word 'arse' - oh arse I've said it
agai... Yikes!
