Unfortunately the Compact has no 1MHz bus connector (all the signals are
there, they're just presented on that card edge connector sticking out of
the side of the case), so not unless you have a rare-as-hen's-teeth 1MHz bus
adapter.
GoMMC is probably a better option, though it doesn't specifically mention
Compact compatibility I suspect that's more because so few Compacts are
around it's not worth supporting rather than any electrical reason. Actually
it might be something as simple as the ROM sockets being under the keyboard
and you can't get the lid on?
Econet to a Master 128 with GoMMC/IDE interface would do the trick,
