Control and sensing. Think home automation but 20 years too early.
I think they were 6502 based, and could run standalone, but often hooked up
to a BBC micro and set up via BASIC.

I just threw out a news clipping from an old Beebug magazine, if you're
interested I could get it out of the recycling box and scan it in?
